Cupping Therapy is an ancient Chinese form of alternative medicine in which a local suction is created on the skin. This mobilizes blood flow in order to promote healing. It increases blood flow for tight muscles.
The modern form of cupping that our therapist, Diana Bridges, BS, MSOM, RMT, uses is with a pump that creates a vacuum inside of it. Cupping therapy can reduce pain and inflammation throughout the body. It can also promote mental and physical relaxation and well-being.
Diana uses Cupping Therapy as part of a Massage Therapy or Acupuncture treatment. Should you wish to get Cupping Therapy as part of your treatment, please let us know in the ‘notes’ section when booking online, or when speaking to one of us here at the clinic.
*Please note that possible suction marks can occur and be left on the skin. Some people experience no marks and others can see marks on their skin for up to a week. So don’t plan any beach vacations immediately after your treatment!
