Hello everyone!

Thanks for checking out our bios! Here you will be able to get a glimpse of what our therapists are like, and what they specialize in and are passionate about.  Over the last 7 years I have realized that massage therapy is about finding the right therapist for each person.  It has been my dream to create a space that facilitates a ‘win win’ relationship.  Simply put, I really want each person to find the therapist that suits their individual needs.  I’ve tried to accomplish this by creating a safe welcoming space and choosing a pretty awesome and diverse staff that love what they do and truly care about their clients.

So please read on and find the best RMT for you!

Alicia Greenall

B.A., R.M.T., Owner

This dream adventure started at the tail end of my 2nd year excursion in Asia.  I was in a small village in northern Thailand in late 2003 taking a course. It was hot, and sadly there were political debates causing strife.  The women teaching the course were lovely, welcoming and really care. It didn’t feel like they had to – it was simply their nature to. Regardless of the violence surrounding them, they nurtured and taught what they knew to be true with smiles, laughs and warm hands.

Years prior to this experience I was in a pretty bad car accident and riddled with pain. At that time Massage Therapy helped me enormously.  I was able to move! So I didn’t view massage as a fluffy, phony or hollow job. I knew how powerful it could be, but it went deeper than that. There was something about the zone tAlicia 01hose women created. The atmosphere and environment just felt comfortable. I felt good just by being there and they felt good you were there too. It seemed as though everyone, even just for few moments, could leave the chaos outside and get into their bodies and just breathe.

It was about the fifth day into the course when my ‘eureka moment’ happened. Massage was what I was going to do and I knew I was going to create a space like that.

This new direction got me pretty pumped because I realized that helping people made me feel good too.  It was just innate in me. From that day I was captivated and hell bent determined to make this dream come true. I wanted to be a therapist and create a zone I would want to spend time in. I wanted to create a zone that facilitated helping.

Since that eureka moment, I came back to Canada,  went to school, graduated and worked in a few clinics. Then, in the winter of 2009, opened Grimsby Massage Therapy Clinic.  Since its beginning, that idea of creating ‘win win’ relationships has been our mantra and our belief. This is how we choose staff, partners, suppliers… everything.   It is why we feel it is important to find what makes you feel good. We hope we can provide that for you and wish you the best on your journey to find whatever it is that makes you feel good.
